Subject: Yijun's weekly news
Dear Friends,
My mum said that night when SIA crash happened, it was really very windy and she was nearly blown away on the street. Then she hugged the pillar on the road. (cannot imagine…my mum is usually so serious….hahaha, suddenly became so comical!). According to her description, there are 3 pilots, one black, one Ang Mo and one Chinese. I think the black may be is an Indian or Malay. My mum cannot differentiate. So now whose fault it is? At first I planned to buy SIA ticket next time so I can transit at Singapore and visit you all but my mum said NO WAY!….hopeless lah! Too bad!
2 weeks ago I had a CPR session which was very good. Partly due to the demonstrator who looks like George Cloney in ER except for his strong Glasgowegian accent!! Wow!! If all my demonstrators are like him then I will be more hardworking! Unluckily, most of my demonstrators are hairless LKK (Lao3 ko ko)… that is why I often got bored and come to surf net.
These 5 weeks I am doing Human Anatomy, which means I have to dissect human body…yax! If you feel uncomfortable then do NOT read the next paragraph!
My group has got a 70~80-years-old granddad with everything still there. Some groups got bodies without their heads (given to Dentistry students). It was quite easy to dissect. Unfortunately, my gloves seem to be
too loose again so I had problems handling the scarpels. Hope that our granddad does not mind (I pray hard! But still dream of him…horrible…). Today there is a demonstration lesson but the demonstrators touched the bodies and organs without wearing gloves…. Aiya, it is not that bad as what it seems because they are so preserved that they do not look like real human. Actually I find it quite interesting and am thankful to those who donated their bodies. But I think I am going to fast for these weeks because seeing meat and bones reminds me of the dear old granddad. No more curry too because my friend said that the shaven head and its exposed content looked like a coconut. Oops, hope that you still can eat after reading my email….
This whole week has not got much rain...I like this type of weather! Suddenly I realise that I have fallen in love with Glasgow....when it doesnot rain.
Aiya! I have been so happy so I forgot to press the NO SPINNING button for my laundry. Guess what?! All my clothes shrank!! All are so small now that I cannot wear. I washed a lot this time due to the horrible smell on them after anatomy. Sob Sob....Le4 Ji2 Sheng1 bei1 (happiness will soon be terminated by sadness)...
