Dear friends,
Thanks for the encouragement from some of you. I am feeling better now.
My horrible days have just started. I will have 4 papers on the first day of Prelim or Mock Exam! Then there will be 3 papers on another day! God blesses!
I have been burning midnight's oil for a long time. I think I really look like a drug addict now with dark eye rings. I am very stressed by the present schoolwork. It is too intensive that I feel more pressurized than when I was in JC.
I have stopped working in the nursing home. It is time for revision. But I really miss the old people there. They have a lot of stories. 2 weeks ago, one lady told me that her favorite grandson was getting married
and going to have a grand wedding in USA. Last week, she said sadly that the bride-to-be had run away just before they departed from UK for the wedding. The girl said she was not ready yet. All the money spent on the wedding was wasted. But they will try to see how it goes when they go for a holiday in USA next week..this is supposed to be their honeymoon.
This lady, Eileen, has a very dramatic life. Her elder brother abused her so she ran away from home when she was only 15. She then worked as a nurse and took part in World War Two. Although she met her brother sometime later in her life, she did not want to keep him in contact. They have never seen each other for more than 50 years. Eileen has never seen her brother's children before. One day, her niece phoned her and wanted to visit her. Eileen felt bizarre and asked her the reason for visiting a person she had never met. Her 50-year-odd niece insisted on telling her when they meet. When the niece came, she hugged Eileen hardly and broke into tears. Then the niece told her that her father, Eileen's brother, has been abusing, beating her and her siblings for 50 years. The niece did not want to tell Eileen before the visit because she did not want Eileen to know that she had a bad brother. Eileen was so glad to tell her that she also experienced the same thing from the same person. Later, the niece left with satisfaction.
I hope that all my effort spent in the voluntary work will not be wasted. Please help me pray that I will get into a good medical school. Thank you. Bye.
